Key Skills: Field Research • Data Visualization • Offline-First UX • Engineering Workflows
The Challenge: The Qosh Tepa project is a massive national infrastructure initiative designed to irrigate 500,000 hectares. The engineering teams needed accurate, large-scale data from remote locations, but the existing process was prone to human error and data fragmentation.
The Goal: Bridge the gap between complex engineering requirements and the practical realities of field workers collecting data in harsh environments.
My Contribution
I led the UX and UI design for ADATA, the internal system built to manage this data lifecycle.
Resilient Field Interfaces: Designed low-friction data entry tools optimized for tablets in the field. The focus was on error prevention and offline capability to ensure data integrity in remote areas.
Data Visualization: Transformed raw hydrological and survey data into clear, standardized visual reports for stakeholders and international partners.
System Logic: Mapped the complex engineering workflows into a linear digital experience, reducing the training time required for field staff.
Impact
The system successfully digitized the feasibility study process, enabling stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions for a multi-billion dollar infrastructure project. It reduced data cleaning time and ensured that engineering decisions were based on standardized, reliable inputs.
Confidentiality Notice: Due to the sensitive nature of this national infrastructure project, specific UI designs and detailed workflows cannot be shared publicly. I am happy to discuss the design challenges and my problem-solving methodology in more detail during an interview.
